DU QUOIN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO SPONSOR SPRING HOME & GARDEN SHOW AT FAIRGROUNDS

Plans are well underway for a Home & Garden Show to be held at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds this spring, April 24-25. Sponsored by the Du Quoin Chamber of Commerce, the event will be held in the spacious Exhibition Hall at the fairgrounds. “We’ll have space for more than 150 vendors,” said Chamber president Chuck Novak, “and our plans are to make everything as reasonable as possible, both to exhibitors and vendors as well as those attending.” Booth rental fees has been set at $100 for those requiring just a 10x10-foot space with multiple booths being discounted $10 per. General admission to the event has been set at $1. Children 12 and under will be admitted free. Hoping to attract contractors, home repair and remodeling contractors, lumber and furniture businesses, landscapers, lawn care contractors, lawn equipment dealers, gardening specialists and advisors, and all others in related fields, Novak said, “The Chamber is more interested in attracting people to Du Quoin than in turning a major profit.”
