The Du Quoin City Council meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month. Meetings begin at 6:00pm at the Du Quoin City Hall and are televised live by Comcast on channel 18 (Comcast cable subscribers only).

Meet the staff at the City of Du Quoin:

Blaine Bastien
City Clerk

As the city clerk, Mr. Bastien is the budget director. He is in charge of administering grants. He is also responsible for the city's finances and records. Mr. Bastien was born in Santa Monica, CA, and soon moved to DuQuoin in 1960.

Ann Shockley,
Deputy Treasurer

Mrs. Shockley is the deputy treasurer at the city clerk's office. She takes care of the money the city receives and gives. She pays accounts payable, and she also checks with insurance companies on various issues. She also makes sure the city's budget comes out correctly. Born in Dyger, Tennessee, Ann moved to DuQuoin after marrying her husband.

Jenylle Showalter
Utilities Clerk

Ms. Showalter is the receptionist at the city clerk's office. She answers the phone and waits on all the customers everyday. Jenylle was born and raised in DuQuoin.

Dale Spencer
Public Works Dir.

Mr. Spencer is the Public Works director at the city. He is also the recycling coordinator and the zoning administrator. Mr. Spencer was born in Cole Camp, MO and has lived in DuQuoin for the past 39 years.

Tami Burdel,
Deputy City Clerk

Mrs. Burdel keeps track of the water bills and payroll at the city. She has lived in DuQuoin all of her life and is proud to call it her home.
