Dear
Business Owner:
The
Du Quoin Chamber of Commerce would like to take this opportunity
to invite you to join us in membership with other area businesses.
Our fiscal year begins October 1, 2011 through September 30,
2012.
The
“fair share member investment” as we like to call it - is
$100.00 per year. If you calculate your member investment
over 12 months time, it’s less than $8.40 per month. We feel
that is quite a bargain since the Chamber promotes your town
and member businesses. Not only does your “fair share member
investment” help fund the chamber office, which fields questions
about local businesses and tourism, but it is a communication
center for volunteers, businesses, industry, and community
events.
Through
membership participation and committee involvement, we offer:

The
regular meetings are held the FIRST WEDNESDAY OF EACH MONTH
beginning at 6:00 PM. A notice is mailed the week prior to
the meeting with information regarding location.
Working
as a team is what a successful Chamber is all about. You may
choose to be involved in as many projects as you would like
or have no involvement, but the choice is yours. Most active
members have found that they do benefit more by being involved
in at least one project. This gives them exposure to new customers,
advertising, etc. People do business with people they know
and trust. Also, personal and leadership qualities are developed
through board and committee participation.
Please
consider “joining” us through membership. We’re your Du Quoin
Chamber of Commerce.

STATEMENT
The purpose of the
Du Quoin Chamber of Commerce shall be to develop, encourage,
promote and protect the varied commercial, industrial, professional,
financial and civic interest of the community; to promote and
enhance the general welfare and the image of the community;
to work in the best community interest in the areas of trade,
commerce, industry, transportation, communications and resources;
and to aid and assist local governments in the consideration
of laws, ordinances and the community at large.
We are focused on
the wellness of the City of Du Quoin and Southern Illinois.
And we are committed to this focus. Let us know what we can
